Volunteers: We’ve built up a great team of 30 volunteers but, as the festival gets bigger every year, extra hands are always welcome on the day. Could you give some of your time to help us? Even a few hours is a huge help. All ages and abilities are welcome to join our team. Roles include running the Welcome Tent, general stewarding, dancer liaison, selling programmes, market trader/ community hub liaison, venue stewarding and more.

Organisers: We also need help during the year with festival planning and organisation. A lot of groups (see here) already help out by taking on various aspects of the festival but the GMF still needs lots of overall planning and organisation. Opportunities include managing dance group bookings, managing busker bookings, signing up contractors like medics, organising poster and leaflet distribution, arranging activities at the Tithe Barn including the Stone Stage, organising our pop-up camp site, arranging the window dressing competition and lots more. If you could spare even a few hours a week from January to May we’d love to hear from you.
