Markets

2023 will have three great markets:

Pagan Arts & Crafts in the Library Car Park with stalls selling everything for the practicing and closet pagan*. A fire performer will entertain you from time to time.

  • Pagan was originally a Latin word meaning country bumpkin.

Artisan Market outside St Margaret’s Hall with 29 stalls showcasing the work of high quality local creatives. We have limited numbers of each type of stall so we don’t have wall to wall jewellers or woodturners, and we’ve tried to avoid duplicating any speciality shops already in the town.

Community Hub Our town is buzzing with clubs, associations and groups for all ages and interests – at least 106 that we known of. The GMF is a community event so our Community Hub gives some of those groups an opportunity to showcase what they do, to recruit new members and raise some funds. This year’s hub will be in the ground’s of Holy Trinity Church – en route to our free all day Choirs & Classics Concert.

Tithe Barn Workshops There are lots of interesting shops and galleries in the town centre but make a point of visiting the The Granary and the fantastic Tithe Barn Workshops (both close to the Tithe Barn).
