Dance Locations

For 2025 we’ll have nine town-dance venues, one or two with a large wooden dance floor for Appalachian and all forms of clog/tap dancing. All of them will have an alternative undercover location if it is wet. There will also be four dance spots around the Tithe Barn in the afternoon.

Bridge Yard: A fabulous position overlooking the Town Bridge and river and with very popular cafe/restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating.    Il Fuime serves the very best of the Italian regions, and The Sweet Pea Kitchen is the town’s latest eatery and is fast establishing a dedicated following.

Our second dance venue in Bridge Yard is outside the popular River Spice  Indian restaurant.

Church Street: We have applied for a road closure of Church St giving us two new dance spots, one outside the front of The Swan Hotel and the other outside the dental practice.

Westbury Gardens: Dancing overlooking the river and under the town’s giant trees. This is festival central where you’ll find our Welcome Tent selling programmes and commemorative badges, the Pagan Arts & Crafts Market,  The Greatest Little Coffee Box On Earth, Thai & Thai Again fast food stall and of course a cider and beer tent.

The Bull PIt: The Swan Hotel is still closed but as it’s been one of our most popular venues there will be riverside dancing in the Bull Pit outside The Swan’s car park.

Lamb Yard: A labyrinth of shops based in and around converted mill buildings in the heart of the town. Dancing will be outside the Mill Cafe and  Pablo’s Bistro where they serve expertly prepared delicious meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan Spanish tapas.

The Library Car Park dance spot is next to our Food Court with at least eight fast food stalls to keep you going.

St Margaret’s Hall Car Park: dancing here is next to our artisan market, a bar and two fast food outlets. The Folk Club stage will be inside the hall.
