In 2025 we had to announce that the GMF could not continue as organising it had become an unsustainable burden for its two organisers. The town did not want it to die so we reverted to a small event in 2026 – The Little Green Men Day It was very successful and as always the sun shone, the atmosphere was great and everyone had a good time. We’re pleased to say that the GMF will return for its 9th consecutive year on Saturday 8th May 2027 under new management but still with all the things you love including lots of traditional dancing, music stages and a market. The day will be led by our giant Jack in the Green and his partner Jill in the Green who will be woken from their slumbers in the Tithe Barn to parade around town. As always, the day will close with the wildly popular Stripping Jack at the Tithe Barn. Watch this space and our social media for further announcements.
