‘Choirs & Classics’ Concert – Trinity Church

Trinity Church, a great venue with fantastic acoustics, is the venue for a free all day concert featuring some of our best local choirs and classical musicians in six 45-minute performances from 10.15am to 3.30pm. It’s all free so drop in and out as you want. Detailed timings will be in the festival programme available in advance from local shops and on the day.

We are just starting to plan the 2023 concert so for now have retained the lineup planned for 2022 to give a flavour of what to expect in 2023.

Bath Tub Orchestra: a mixed ability community orchestra that plays all kinds of music from pop songs, jazz, blues, film soundtracks and classical favourites. Information here and a performance video at the Bath Festival 2019 is here

Clarity Choir: This group of around 25 singers from the Trowbridge and Bath area sing uplifting songs from around the world in a range of styles. They are an open-access, a cappella choir that is as much about having fun as it is about singing. Information here and here.

Timur Dersuniyelioglu & Friends: We are very fortunate to have award winning international classical guitarist Timur Dersuniyelioglu performing. Some of you may have been lucky enough to have seen his occasional performances in his family’s Olea restaurant. He is making a special visit for us from London and bringing a few friends to join him. Hear his wonderful playing here.

Sounding It Out: This local choir sings an eclectic range of songs and has performed in a wide variety of places – from Camden’s Roundhouse , Bath Abbey, Wells Cathedral and the American Museum in Bath. Information here.

Towpath Shanty Singers: Powerful voices, rousing choruses, infectious singing – if you haven’t seen them before, don’t miss them now. They should call themselves Standing Room Only.

Trowbridge Symphony Orchestra: “The Trowbridge Symphony Orchestra never fails to impress or deliver an incomparable musical experience.” (Wiltshire Times November 2018). Recent performances have included Shostakovitch Piano Concerto no.2, Beethoven Symphony no.3, Dvorak Symphony no.8, Sibelius Symphony no.2, Mahler Symphonies no..5, Elgar Cello Concerto, Bruch Violin Concerto and Glazunov Violin Concerto.
